Website & Sales Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 10th September 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of The Casio Collector website and, where applicable, purchases made through the website.

Please read these terms before purchasing a product.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

1. About The Casio Collector

The Casio Collector is an independent UK-based watch website and business specialising in watches, including pre-owned, vintage, restored and modified watches.

The website may also contain watch reviews, articles, photographs, videos, opinions and other watch-related content.

The Casio Collector is an independent business and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Casio Computer Co., Ltd. or other watch manufacturers unless expressly stated otherwise.

Brand names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

2. Products

Many watches offered for sale by The Casio Collector are pre-owned.

Products may include:

  • Used watches.

  • Vintage watches.

  • Restored watches.

  • Modified watches.

  • Watches fitted with replacement parts.

  • Watches fitted with aftermarket straps or bracelets.

  • Watches that have received cleaning, servicing or cosmetic restoration.

  • Other watch-related items.

The individual product description should be read carefully before purchasing.

3. Pre-Owned and Vintage Condition

Unless specifically described as new, watches should be assumed to be pre-owned.

Pre-owned and vintage watches may show signs of previous use and age.

These may include:

  • Scratches.

  • Marks.

  • Wear to cases or bezels.

  • Strap or bracelet wear.

  • Fading or discolouration.

  • Small imperfections to crystals.

  • Wear to printing or lettering.

  • Age-related cosmetic deterioration.

  • Other signs consistent with the watch's age and previous use.

We aim to describe significant defects or imperfections that we are aware of.

Normal age-related wear that is visible in the photographs or reasonably expected from a pre-owned or vintage item should be taken into consideration before purchasing.

4. Photographs

We aim to use photographs that provide an accurate representation of the watch being sold.

Where photographs show the individual watch offered for sale, they form an important part of the product description.

We encourage customers to examine photographs carefully before purchasing.

Screen settings, lighting and photography may cause colours to appear slightly different from the physical product.

5. Restored Watches

A watch described as restored may have undergone work intended to improve its appearance, operation or overall condition.

This may include:

  • Cleaning.

  • Case or bracelet cleaning.

  • Replacement batteries. Replacement seals or gaskets.

  • Replacement crystals.

  • Replacement straps or bracelets.

  • Replacement bezels.

  • Replacement cosmetic components.

  • Other repairs or refurbishment.

Where reasonably practical, significant restoration work or replacement components will be disclosed in the product description.

Restoration does not mean that a watch has been returned to factory-new condition.

6. Modified Watches

Some watches may have been intentionally modified from their original factory specification.

Modifications may include replacement straps, bracelets, bezels, cases, displays or other components.

Where a watch is known to have been modified, we will aim to make this clear in its description.

Modified watches should not be assumed to represent the manufacturer's original specification.

7. Aftermarket and Replacement Parts

Some restored or modified watches may contain aftermarket or non-original replacement components.

Where we know that a significant visible component is aftermarket or non-original, we will aim to disclose this in the product description.

Replacement straps and bracelets may also be third-party products unless otherwise stated.

8. Watch Accuracy and Timekeeping

Mechanical, quartz and digital watches may operate within different levels of accuracy.

Vintage watches in particular should not necessarily be expected to perform to the same tolerances as a brand-new watch.

Unless a particular level of accuracy is specifically guaranteed in the product description, any comments regarding timekeeping are based on our reasonable observations and are not a guarantee of long-term accuracy.

9. Batteries

Where a quartz or digital watch is supplied with a working battery, the battery may have been fitted before the watch was offered for sale.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, we cannot guarantee the remaining lifespan of a battery.

A battery requiring replacement after purchase does not necessarily indicate a fault with the watch.

This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty or has been incorrectly described.

10. Water Resistance

Particular care should be taken with water resistance when purchasing pre-owned or vintage watches.

The presence of a water-resistance rating on a watch, case or case back reflects the manufacturer's original specification and does not necessarily mean that an older or pre-owned watch remains water resistant to that standard.

Unless we specifically state that a watch has been pressure tested and provide the relevant test information, water resistance should not be assumed or guaranteed.

We recommend avoiding exposure to water unless you are satisfied that the watch has been appropriately tested.

11. Product Descriptions

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that descriptions, model numbers, specifications, approximate dates and other information are accurate.

Watch identification can sometimes be difficult, particularly with older or modified watches.

If we discover a significant error in a listing before an order is dispatched, we may contact the customer to explain the issue and provide appropriate options, including cancellation and refund where applicable.

12. Pricing

Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£) unless otherwise stated.

The price payable will normally be the price displayed when the order is placed.

Any applicable delivery charges will be displayed or communicated before completion of the purchase.

13. Orders

Submitting an order does not necessarily mean that it has been accepted.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • An item has already been sold.

  • A significant pricing error has occurred.

  • A product listing contains a material error.

  • Payment cannot be authorised.

  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.

  • We are unable to fulfil the order.

Where payment has already been taken for an order that we cannot fulfil, an appropriate refund will be issued.

14. Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on our website or product listing.

Delivery estimates are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly stated otherwise.

We are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control, although we will provide reasonable assistance where a delivery problem occurs.

International Orders

The Casio Collector currently ships website orders within the UK only.

For customers outside the UK, selected watches are available to purchase through The Casio Collector eBay store, where eligible international orders can be handled through eBay's international shipping service.

Please note that prices, postage costs and availability may differ between this website and eBay due to platform fees, international shipping arrangements and other associated costs.

UK customers are always welcome to purchase directly through this website.

15. Returns and Cancellation

Where you are purchasing as a consumer online, you may have a statutory right to cancel your purchase under UK consumer law.

Where the statutory cancellation right applies, customers will normally have 14 days from receiving the goods to notify us that they wish to cancel, followed by a further period in which to return the goods.

The watch should be returned in substantially the same condition in which it was received and with supplied accessories, packaging or other items where applicable.

You are entitled to inspect an item as you would reasonably be able to in a physical shop. You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights regarding faulty, damaged or incorrectly described goods.

16. Return Delivery Costs

Where a customer exercises a standard change-of-mind cancellation right, the customer may be responsible for the cost of returning the item where permitted by law and where this has been communicated before purchase.

Where an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, materially not as described or otherwise subject to applicable statutory remedies, return costs will be handled in accordance with UK consumer law.

We recommend using an appropriately insured and trackable delivery service when returning watches.

17. Faulty or Incorrectly Described Products

We aim to ensure every watch is accurately described and appropriately checked before sale.

If you believe an item is faulty, damaged or materially different from its description, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with details of the issue.

Your legal rights regarding faulty or incorrectly described goods are not affected by these Terms and Conditions.

18. Vintage Watches and Future Reliability

Although we may inspect, test, clean or restore watches before sale, we cannot predict the future reliability of older components.

Vintage watches may contain components that are decades old.

A watch being operational when tested or dispatched does not mean that every original component will continue operating indefinitely.

This does not remove or restrict any rights you have under UK consumer law.

19. The Casio Collector 90-Day Guarantee

In addition to your statutory rights, watches purchased directly from The Casio Collector through our website are supplied with a 90-day guarantee from the date of delivery.

The guarantee covers mechanical or electronic faults that develop during normal use and which prevent the watch from operating as reasonably expected.

The guarantee does not cover:

  • Accidental damage, misuse, neglect or improper handling.

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Cosmetic deterioration, scratches, marks or other signs of use.

  • Damage to straps, bracelets, buckles or other wearable components.

  • Battery depletion or the normal replacement of a watch battery.

  • Water damage unless the watch was specifically stated in the product listing as having been pressure tested and its water resistance expressly guaranteed.

  • Damage caused by opening, modifying, repairing or attempting to repair the watch after purchase without our agreement.

Unless specifically stated otherwise in the individual product listing, pre-owned and vintage watches should be considered not tested for water resistance and therefore water resistance is not guaranteed.

Where a fault covered by this guarantee occurs, please contact The Casio Collector as soon as reasonably possible with details of the problem. We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a suitable remedy.

This 90-day guarantee is provided voluntarily by The Casio Collector and is in addition to your statutory rights. It does not replace, limit or exclude any rights or remedies available to you under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer law.

20. Website Reviews and Content

Reviews and articles published by The Casio Collector represent our own observations and opinions unless otherwise stated.

Watch reviews are intended for general information and entertainment and should not be treated as professional technical, financial or investment advice.

Prices and market values mentioned in articles or reviews may change over time.

Unless otherwise stated, original text, photographs, graphics, logos and other original content created for The Casio Collector remain the property of The Casio Collector.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Subject to applicable consumer law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses suffered by someone purchasing primarily for commercial purposes.

24. Privacy and Cookies

Use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy.

These documents should be read alongside these Terms and Conditions.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our website, products, business practices or applicable requirements.

The version applying to an order will generally be the version in effect when that order was placed.
