A distinctive vintage Casio Baby-G BGR-210WC digital watch produced as part of Casio’s W.C.C.S. marine-conservation series, finished in white with soft blue and lilac detailing and its unusual original Reef-branded fabric and resin strap system.
The BGR-210WC uses Casio module 1850 and belongs to the late-1990s W.C.C.S. series associated with the World Coral-Reef Conservation Society. The marine theme continues throughout the watch, from the pale ocean-inspired colour scheme to the Reef and W.C.C.S. detailing on the strap. Its unusual layered strap arrangement is an especially characteristic part of the design.
The case and crystal on this example are in mint condition and the digital display is clean and clear. The original strap remains complete and presents very well overall, although there is some age-related discolouration to the Reef logo panel and slight discolouration along parts of the edge of the inner resin band. These points are visible in the photographs and have been reflected in the condition description.
The watch has been carefully inspected and tested and is working correctly. With its distinctive W.C.C.S. connection, original strap assembly and exceptionally clean watch head, it is an appealing surviving example of one of Baby-G’s more unusual marine-themed vintage designs.
