A charming vintage Citizen Rivière 2950-292308 quartz watch dating from the early 1980s, combining elegant Japanese watchmaking with wonderfully distinctive period styling.
The cream dial features bold black Arabic numerals, a fine outer minute track and slender black hands, with the elegant Rivière signature positioned above 6 o’clock. Its slim gold-tone case is complemented by unusual articulated lugs and a matching gold-tone expanding bracelet, giving the watch a particularly classic early-1980s appearance.
At approximately 24mm across, this is a traditionally sized vintage dress watch with a delicate profile that wears neatly on the wrist.
Considering its age of more than 40 years, the watch presents very nicely from the front. The cream dial remains particularly well preserved, with crisp printing and attractive vintage character. A brand-new replacement crystal has been fitted, providing a completely clear and scratch-free view of the dial.
There is visible age-related wear to the gold-tone finish around the rear and edges of the case. This is consistent with a watch of this age and has deliberately been left visible rather than disguised. Please refer to the detailed photographs, which form part of the condition description.
A new battery has been fitted, and the watch has been tested for a minimum of one week. It is functioning correctly and keeping excellent time.
