A beautifully preserved vintage Seiko ladies’ quartz watch dating to March 1980, making this Japanese-made example approximately 46 years old.
The watch features a warm cream/champagne dial with distinctive stylised black Arabic numerals, slim black hour and minute hands and a contrasting silver-tone seconds hand. Its simple, highly legible design gives it a lovely understated vintage character that remains remarkably wearable more than four decades after it was produced.
The dial is marked Japan 2621-0170R, while the stainless-steel caseback carries reference 2621-0020 B and serial number 031778. The serial number dates this example to March 1980.
Considering its approximately 46 years of age, this watch presents in excellent vintage condition.
The stainless-steel case retains a very attractive appearance, with some light age-related marks consistent with a watch of this vintage. The dial itself has survived particularly well and retains its warm cream/champagne finish and distinctive printed numerals.
A new crystal has been fitted, providing a beautifully clear view of the dial, together with a new black 12 mm strap which complements the original styling extremely well.
A new battery has also been fitted, and the watch has been carefully inspected and tested. It is running correctly and keeping excellent time.
