Vintage – July 1994 | New Rechargeable Solar Cell | Cleaned, Tested & Prepared
A smart vintage Seiko V182-0C70 Solar dating to July 1994, featuring classic two-tone styling, a crisp Roman numeral dial and practical date display.
The clean white dial features black Roman numeral hour markers, slim gold-tone hands and a framed date window at 3 o'clock. A polished gold-tone bezel contrasts nicely with the silver-tone case and original two-tone bracelet, giving the watch a traditional dress-watch appearance.
Now over 30 years old, this is an interesting example of Seiko's earlier solar-powered watchmaking. Rather than using a conventional disposable battery, the V182 movement charges a rechargeable cell through exposure to suitable light.
This example has been carefully cleaned and polished while retaining the honest character expected of a vintage watch. There are some age-related marks to the case and visible wear to areas of the gold-tone finish, all shown in the photographs and reflected in the condition grading.
Most importantly, the watch has been fitted with a new rechargeable solar cell. The solar charging system has been tested and is operating correctly, with the watch running and keeping time as it should.
