A distinctive vintage Sekonda dating to approximately the late 1980s, featuring a classic Roman-numeral dial and traditional gold-tone dress-watch styling.
The dial is clearly marked USSR, confirming manufacture during the Soviet era and before the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. Its crisp white dial, black Roman numerals and railway-style minute track give it a wonderfully traditional appearance.
At just 22mm across and 28mm lug-to-lug, this is an elegantly compact vintage watch.
Presented in excellent vintage condition. The white dial and Roman numerals are exceptionally clean, while the crystal presents very well. The gold-tone case shows only minor age-related wear and has been carefully cleaned and prepared.
This example was initially reluctant to run but was successfully revived during inspection. A battery has been fitted and the watch has subsequently been tested over an extended period, during which it has continued to run reliably and keep excellent time.
A black leather strap completes the traditional appearance.
